Our Philosophy

Sunnington was developed after years of research in architecture and gerontology by health care professionals. The architect, George Berardi, has received national recognition and an award for his design in assisted living facilities. The design was thoughtfully planned from the wall finishes and lighting to the carpeting and decor. Every detail was considered to provide residents with a superior living experience that is sensitive to their needs. Sunnington is devoted to caring for our seniors.

We want our residents to be as comfortable as possible in their new home, while ensuring their privacy and their optimum level of independence. Our goal is that every interaction with a resident or family member reflects this philosophy.
Charity of Choice is Sunnington’s way of giving back to our community. When you or your loved one moves into one of our communities a $100 donation will be made in your (their) name to your choice of The Alzheimer’s Association, The American Heart Association, Sara Cannon Cancer Center, or The American Diabetes Association.

Resident Referral Program – In addition to giving back to our community, Sunnington Assisted Living and Sunnington Senior Care also give back to our residents through the Resident Referral Program. Once you move in simply refer others to our community, and when they move in, YOU save on your rent; up to $3,000 per year! Be sure to ask for details.

Experience Sunnington Days – The second Wednesday of each month is set aside for you to “experience” a day in the life of Sunnington Assisted Living. RSVP to join us for activities, lunch, and a walk around our beautiful community.

Yellow DOT Enrollment Site – While you are here for Experience Sunnington Days sign up for the Tennessee Department of Transportation Yellow DOT program. This free program is designed to supply first responders with an individual’s medical information in the event of an emergency. Ask about this service when you come for a visit.
